Matthew 10:20 KJV: Your Father’s Spirit Will Tell You

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light green gradient with text and Bible verseThe Spirit of your Father which speaks in you.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves…Beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils…And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake. Matthew 10:16-18.

Jesus counsels His early disciples and His followers today how to meet hostility and how not to faint under persecution.

God’s servants are His representatives. The power by which they are to overcome evil is the power of Christ. The glory of Christ is their strength.

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light blue gradient with text and Bible verseIf ye love me, keep my commandments.

Christ is an example of a righteous character formed by obedience to the Law of God which is holy, just, and good – a transcript of the Divine perfection.

I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in His love. John 15:10.

For I do always those things that please Him. John 8:29.

Second Corinthians 5:21 KJV: He Became Sin For Us

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light orange gradient with text and Bible verseChrist became sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Thus by the atoning sacrifice of His Son, God has reconciled the world to Himself, not imputing humans’ trespasses unto them.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit; 1 Peter 3:18.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Romans 3:25.

Hebrews 9:26 KJV: He Put Away Sin By The Sacrifice Of Himself

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light red gradient with text and Bible verseHe put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Christ is our atoning sacrifice and by faith we can accept the atonement that has been made.

Thus we have the assurance that when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, therefore, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:10.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit; 1 Peter 3:18.

Matthew 5:14 KJV: You Are The Light Of The World

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light green gradient with text and Bible verseYou are the light of the world.

That light originates in God – the ultimate source of light. It is His loving, merciful, gracious, righteous, truthful and forgiving character.

This is the light of God’s glory.

This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5.

John 3:7 KJV: We Must Be Born Again

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light blue gradient with text and Bible verseMarvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

How can a man be born when he is old? How can these things be? John 3:4, 9.

This new birth is the result of receiving Christ as the Word of God. Moreover, of the Divine truths impressed by the Holy Spirit upon the heart.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. It is the Spirit that quickeneth;

the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 3:6; John 6:63.

First John 3:1 KJV: What Manner Of Love Is This?

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on cobalt blue gradient with text and Bible verseBehold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.

When we contemplate Jesus’ life with all that He went through we can only repeat the exclamation of John:

Herein is love

  • not that we loved God, but that He loved us
  • and sent His only begotten Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sins
  • the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world, that we might live through Him.

Proverbs 3:5 KJV: Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart

Illustration-Open book with tree leaves on light green gradient with text and Bible verseTrust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

God is love and He cares for the creatures He has made. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. Psalm 103:13.

Moreover, Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. 1 John 3:1.

What a precious privilege is this, that we may be sons and daughters of the Most High.

Moreover, ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:27, 28.

Thus when we are born of the Spirit, we’ll remember our evil ways and doings that were not good, and will strongly dislike ourselves in our own sight for our iniquities and abominations. Ezekiel 36:31.

John 1:29 KJV: Behold The Lamb Of God

open book with fallen tree leaves and Bible verse on light blue radiantThe next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The cross of Calvary reveals the love of God towards humanity. It is His love that draws us to Himself.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all unto me. John 12:32.

If we do not resist this drawing, we will be led to the foot of the cross in repentance for the sins that have crucified the Saviour.

Then the Spirit of God through faith produces a new life in the soul. The thoughts and desires are brought into obedience to the will of Christ.

Romans 13:10 KJV: Love Is Fulfillment Of The Law

open book with fallen tree leaves and Bible verse on light grey radiantLove worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
The law of self-renouncing love is the law of life for earth and heaven. It is demonstrated on the cross of Calvary.
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; Isaiah 53:5.
Moreover, Christ’s cross reveals that:
  • the love which seeketh not her own has its source in the heart of God;

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

John 3:16 KJV: God So Loved The World

open book with fallen tree leavesFor God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God gave His only-begotten Son to the fallen world – becoming one of the human family, forever to retain His human nature.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; Isaiah 9:6.

In taking our nature, He has bound Himself to humanity by a tie that is never to be broken.

The Perfect Reconciliation: Through Divine Love And Wisdom

Illustration-starry sky with Bible verse on light grey background with text and logoChrist in His death is the revelation of the reconciliation between God and humans. The only begotten Son of God voluntarily met the claims of God’s violated Law.

He took humans’ sins of all time upon Himself and became our Substitute.

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:6-8.

Remedy That Cannot Fail: Believe On The Lord Jesus Christ

Illustration-starry sky above mountain tops with Bible verse on light grey background with text and logoChrist came to present to our fallen world the remedy for sin. He became the Son of men that He might bring us back from apostasy to loyalty to God – binding our hearts together and to the heart of Infinite Love.

Christ has power and virtue in Himself to heal the suffering and repenting sinner. Our salvation rests upon the atonement made by our Saviour and the truthfulness of God’s Word.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15.3

The Justifier Of All Who Believe

Illustration-mountain tops above forest with Bible verse on light grey background with text and logoJesus stands in the sinner’s place and takes the guilt of the transgressor upon Himself. He became the sinner’s substitute.

Thus God can be just to His way of governing the whole Universe, and be the Justifier of them that believe in Jesus.

For God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself; 2 Corinthians 5:19

Those who accept Christ as their righteousness and their only hope – pardon is pronounced.

Thus the justice, truth, and holiness of Christ, which are approved by the Law of God, form a channel through which mercy may be  communicated to the repenting and believing sinners.

Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus: A banner for truth and righteousness

Illustration-title on gray background-text-starry skyHere is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:12.

This message is the last to be given before the second coming of Christ. Right after the prophet sees the Son of Man coming in glory to reap the harvest of the earth.

Through faith in Christ as our substitute and righteousness we lay hold of His Divine power – so that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:4.
