Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

God is love and He cares for the creatures He has made. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. Psalm 103:13.

Moreover, Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. 1 John 3:1.

What a precious privilege is this, that we may be sons and daughters of the Most High.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; If so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:17.

Therefore, let us trust God in the darkness as well as in the day.

Furthermore, who is more worthy of our confidence than the Son of God who has made a such great sacrifice for our redemption?

For our sake He left the happiness and glory of heaven and suffered poverty and shame, cruel affliction and a terrible death?

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Isaiah 53:5; 1 John 1:7.

Then, will we not:

Jesus watches with intense interest our:

  • heavenward progress and earnest efforts
  • moral ups and downs, hopes and fears
  • conflicts and victories.

God with us and for us

Christ’s cross on Calvary gives us a bold assurance in the Godhead of the:

  • amazing, unconditional and unfailing love towards humanity
  • eternal interest in the creation made in their image
  • constant beneficence to sustain life in the meantime on rebellious earth
  • exceedingly better way for humans, prepared from eternity.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31, 32.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John14:3.

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9.

In Conclusion

Trust in the Lord and you will never be confounded or ashamed. Isaiah 50:7.

In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs 3:6-8.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man and princes. Psalm 118:8, 9.
